BREITENBUSH HOT SPRINGS:
TIME TO BASK IN GLORIOUS BEAUTY
Located a mere 90 minutes from Portland International Airport, Breitenbush is a remote forest retreat of timeless natural beauty. It is blessed with abundant hot springs, a magnificent river, towering mountains, magical old-growth forests, and a loving host community that will prepare our delicious meals and host our healing retreat.
“The genuine compassion and lack of judgment amongst fellow participants melted walls of separation that could take months to break down in everyday life. The emotional and spiritual openness and vulnerability of my fellow [participants] left me with a warm glow even months later.”
- Mary Sackesteder
Lodging is in cozy, rustic, year-round cabins (some with bathrooms, some without, depending on your preferences) and there’s even a low-cost camping option. With its hydro-electric power from the Breitenbush River, and heat from under ground waters, you’ll be comfortable knowing that your stay is totally off the grid and environmentally sustainable.
If you want to soak in the mineral waters, you can choose the temperature you like best in the Meadow Pools, which are lined in smooth river rocks and nestled under a vast sky, or meander down to the four Spiral Hot Tubs of varying temperature (plus the river-fed cold plunge, if you dare!). You can also enjoy the Steam Sauna, which is a cedar cabin perched above steaming waters. A spirit of respect and sanctuary pervades the soaking pools. Per Breiteinbush custom, swimsuits are welcome, but not required.
