Community Guidelines

Welcome!

Our comment zones are a place to ask questions, learn from each other, and share your experience with the topics being discussed. Food Revolution Network’s mission is healthy, ethical, sustainable food for all, and our community includes people at every stage of their food and health journey. You don’t have to agree with us, or with everyone else in our community, to be welcome here. We do ask that everyone in our community treat each other with respect. These guidelines apply to comments on our website, on our event pages, and on our social media channels.

What we welcome

  • Questions about an article, video, or post, or the topics it raises.
  • Celebrations, appreciations, or stories of how the topic relates to your life.
  • Respectful disagreement, including challenges to our point of view or statements we make.
  • Corrections, if you think we got something wrong. We read these closely and update our content when needed.
  • Your own experience and food choices, whatever your dietary pattern may be.
  • Research and non-commercial resources that add to the conversation.

What we remove

We may remove comments that:

  • Insult, name-call, or personally attack anyone, including other commenters, our team, or Ocean and his family.
  • Shame people for what they eat, in any direction.
  • Show hostility toward someone’s race, ethnicity, gender identity, body size, religion, culture, or food traditions.
  • Use slurs or harass others.
  • Are spam, advertising, or unrelated sales pitches.
  • Appear to be bulk or AI-generated comments that may be automated rather than a genuine personal response to the content.
  • Share personal information, such as email addresses, phone numbers, or home addresses, whether yours or someone else’s.

Sharing links

You’re welcome to share links that add to the discussion, like a study, a news article, or a resource on the topic. A short note about what the link is and why you’re sharing it helps others decide whether to click.

We remove links that advertise marketing funnels, products, or services that are not linked to Food Revolution Network or are not directly related to the topic of conversation. Comments with links may be held for review before they appear, which helps us keep spam out.

A note on health information

We may remove comments that make health claims that contradict well-established scientific consensus, particularly where they could put someone’s safety at risk.

Our content and replies are for educational purposes and are not medical advice. Please talk with a qualified health care provider before changing your medications, supplements, or care.

Personal stories are always welcome. Just keep in mind that what worked for you may not be right for someone else, and that comments are public, so you may not want to share detailed health information. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more details.

Staying on topic

We keep our focus on food, lifestyle and health. Our team doesn’t weigh in on charged topics that stray from this theme. Respectful comments on polarizing topics may stay up, and we will read them but we may not reply. Disrespectful ones, or ones that seem to be instigating large amounts of disrespectful reactions, will be removed.

How moderation works

Our team reads comments and replies when we can, though we may not answer every one. Sometimes another community member answers a question well, and we leave it there. Sometimes we are overwhelmed with comments, and we simply don’t have the capacity to reply to everyone.

Comments aren’t the best place for questions about your account, an order, or a program. For those, contact our support team at [email protected] so we can help you directly.

Comments that our moderating team member believes violate our guidelines may be removed without notice. Individuals who repeatedly post egregiously disrespectful messages may be blocked.

If you think your comment was removed by mistake, or you see one that breaks our guidelines, email us at [email protected]. We may update these guidelines from time to time.

By commenting, you agree to follow these guidelines and our Terms and Conditions.
