Ingredients

3 cups organic apple juice100 percent juice, unsweetened
 3 cups water
2 ½ tbsp dried chamomile flowersor 6 chamomile tea bags
 3 cinnamon sticks
 6 whole cloves
 2 star anise
  cup lemon juicefreshly squeezed
 6 lemon whole

Directions

1

Add all ingredients to the slow cooker. If you’re using dried chamomile flowers, place them in a tea infuser for easy removal.

2

Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or low for 2 hours. Alternatively, place all ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan, cover with a lid, and simmer on low for 45–60 minutes or until the chamomile and spices are well infused.

3

Once done, remove the tea bags or infuser, along with the cinnamon sticks, star anise, and cloves. You can save the spices for garnish later. Add lemon juice.

4

Portion out the desired amount of hot toddy and garnish with a lemon slice, cinnamon stick, star anise, or cloves if you like. For individual servings, try piercing the lemon with the cloves to keep them in place while sipping.
