Strain the water through a sieve into another bowl.

Smash avocado into the rice water with a whisk or add both the rice water and avocado to a blender and blend until smooth (the easier method!).

Apply the avocado rice water to your hair during your next shower: Wash and condition your hair as you would normally. Add the avocado rice water and allow it to sit for 5 minutes (while you wash your body!); then rinse it out.
Chef's Notes
Substitutions In place of rice, try quinoa.
In place of avocado, try plain, unsweetened almond or coconut yogurt.
Storage Store your avocado hair mask in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
