Immune-Boosting Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients

 1 cup plant-based milk (unsweetened)
 1 cup blueberries
 2 tbsp hemp seeds
 2 tbsp almond butter (unsalted, unsweetened)
 2 dates (whole, pitted)
 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
 ½ tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Add all ingredients to the blender and mix on high for 2–3 minutes or until hemp seeds are completely blended. Top with extra hemp seeds and cinnamon and enjoy!

Chef's Notes

Substitutions
Make your plant-based milk go further by substituting ½ cup of water for ½ cup unsweetened plant-based milk. However, it will be less creamy.

I prefer unsweetened soy milk because of its creamy consistency, but any unsweetened plant-based milk will be great.

Any berries are great here! Feel free to use strawberries or a combination of berries in place of blueberries.

No almond butter? Add ¼ cup whole raw almonds and blend a little longer.

Make it cold and slushy
Add a handful of ice to the blender if you prefer it cold and slushy.

Add superfood boosters
Add your favorite superfood powders. I added 1 tsp spirulina and 1 tsp mushroom powder for an extra immune boost. It’ll still be delicious!
