Hummus

Ingredients

 1 medium garlic clove (crushed)
 2 tsp ground cumin
 1 tbsp tahini
 1 ½ cups chickpeas (homemade or BPA-free canned, drained but reserve liquid)

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor.

Blend on low speed until creamy and smooth.

Slowly add garbanzo bean liquid until desired consistency. If you’re using homemade beans, use vegetable broth or water.

Chef's Notes

Substitutions
In place of garlic clove, use ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder. (Taste and adjust with more if you’d like.)

Storage
Store for 5 days in the refrigerator.
