Ingredients
1 medium garlic clove (crushed)
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp tahini
1 ½ cups chickpeas (homemade or BPA-free canned, drained but reserve liquid)
Directions
1Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
2Blend on low speed until creamy and smooth.
3Slowly add garbanzo bean liquid until desired consistency. If you’re using homemade beans, use vegetable broth or water.

Substitutions
In place of garlic clove, use ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder. (Taste and adjust with more if you’d like.)

Store for 5 days in the refrigerator.
