Based in Florida, she has won multiple awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and received media fellowships from the Society of Environmental Journalists, the Uproot Project, Metcalf Institute, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and Oregon State University.
Her debut nonfiction book, Devoured: The Extraordinary Story of Kudzu, the Vine That Ate the South, was published in the spring of 2024.
