Lemon Tahini Sauce

Summary

This sauce is so good, it’s almost drinkable (we won’t judge if you do)! Add a little more water than what’s listed in the recipe for a delicious salad dressing or leave it as is for a flavorful sauce that’s yummy on top of grain bowls, sweet potatoes or as a dip for veggies. The nutty taste of tahini combined with lemon and cumin makes for the perfect blend!

Ingredients

 ½ cup tahini
 ½ cup lemon juice
 ¼ cup water
 1 tbsp ground cumin
 ½ tsp garlic powder
 ½ tsp chili powder (optional)

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a small bowl until the tahini is completely dissolved. Taste and add extra lemon or garlic, based on your preference.

Chef's Notes

Layer it up
Add chopped cilantro or parsley for more flavor and nutrition.

If you like spice add a bit of Sriracha or red pepper flakes. Chopped jalapeno could be good too!

Make it smoky by adding a touch of smoked paprika.

Ways to relish it!
Use this sauce on grain bowls, in wraps, or as a dip. Water it down a bit to make a salad dressing.
