Ingredients

 2 tbsp matcha powder
 2 tbsp spirulina
 ½ tsp ground turmeric
essential oil (optional; of your choice, 1 - 2 drops per application)

Directions

1

Add matcha powder, spirulina, and turmeric to a jar. Place a lid on the jar and shake well to combine.

2

Store in an airtight container in a cool dark place, like a bathroom cabinet or drawer.

3

When ready to use, mix 2 teaspoons of powder with several drops of water in a small bowl (use enough water to create a paint-like consistency). Note that the scent is very earthy. If youʼd like a different scent, consider adding a drop or two of your favorite essential oil to the mixture.

4

Paint the matcha mask over your face with your fingertips or a face mask brush and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes or until almost dry (not completely dry since it can stretch the skin).

5

Rinse face mask off with lukewarm water or a moist gentle cloth, and continue with your skin care routine (mist, serum, moisturizer, etc.) as normal.

Chef's Notes

Substitutions
In place of matcha, try moringa powder. Moringa can be particularly effective if you have acne-prone skin.
