The tropical fruit smoothie just got an upgrade. Whether you are starting out on your plant-based journey or are a seasoned pro and have tried every green smoothie out there, you likely haven’t tried one like this. Avocado, spinach, pineapple, lemon, and lime create a refreshingly sweet, creamy, and tangy smoothie that is a celebration flavor (and nutrition) in your favorite glass!
1cuppineapple (fresh, frozen, or canned in its own juice, cubed)
1medium avocado (seed removed)
2handfuls organic spinach
1cupplant-based yogurt (unsweetened)
1cupplant-based milk (unsweetened)
1tbsplemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1tbsplime juice (freshly squeezed)
1cuporganic apple (cubed)
2tbsphemp seeds (hulled)
½cupwater (more as needed)
1handful ice (optional), +1 handful as desired
Directions
1
Add all ingredients, except the ice, to a blender and blend until smooth. Start with ½ cup of water and add more as needed to reach the desired consistency.
2
Taste for additional flavor or ingredients of your choice. Add ice and blend if you like it icy cold (if you used frozen pineapple, it may already be cold enough for you!).
